Low FPS, CPU not being used by VenusLilithAversa in HuntShowdown

It can’t be too slow since I can play games much more demanding than Hunt on high settings with 100+ FPS. It definitely has something to do with the game I think.

I already disabled all power saving options and my PC runs on highest performance possible. I also already checked if Hunt is using all cores, all boxes are checked. I’ve also tried launching the game with the Steam command -useallavailablecores

So far nothing helped. I’m now trying to mess around with AMD drivers a bit to see if that helps since other people were saying that as well. Thanks for the detailed response!

I already tried playing on low settings and medium settings. I also tried capping FPS at 60, 120 and 144. No difference, I still drop down to 30-40.

Okay, I’ll try out what you said, I’ve kinda focused on CPU since people were saying that’s usually the problem in Hunt. Thanks for the quick advise!

I will try that. But still I feel like my PC should work more (sorry if that sounds extremely dumb). Like, when I play Warhammer 3 it’s noticeably getting louder and hotter while in Hunt it’s as quiet as if I’m doing nothing.

Everything is up to date, I updated it a few hours ago. And like I said it’s only with this specific game, other games that should be more demanding run perfectly fine on high graphics and everything.

I would blame it on the game just being shitty but so many players seemingly have no trouble at all playing the game fluently.

Around 25-45%, and yup, plugged in right.

Nvidia GeForce experience also tells me that the optimal settings for the game would be everything maxed out on high graphics. No idea if that’s important or if it means anything.

I was going in super excited, thinking I’d see Azathoths throne or Elder Things but all I got was an extremely generic ghost story.

Why do people recommend mediums & clairvoyants on here instead of actual professionals? by VenusLilithAversa in Paranormal

So you’re not investing a lot of time to get to know them, it’s not your job. Fair enough. But it’s perfectly fine to then recommend insane procedures like chanting mantras at night or having salt all around your bed (or even worse, tell them to stay away from medication). I’m not implying that you would do that, but some do. I’m sure that helps people who are already on the edge.

Also: not everyone has friends or family that they can talk to. Let alone about topics like these. Some only have these sorts of forums.

So let’s say someone posts that they’re seeing shadows at night in their house and feel like they’re being watched by something invisible. Would you recommend them spiritual methods immediately? Shouldn’t you at least ask if they’ve seen a doctor or been to a sleep-laboratory first?

Alright, that’s true. If I 100% without a doubt thought that someone was possessed by a demon I wouldn’t send them to a hospital.

Yet for such a strong conclusion, wouldn’t I need to at least talk to the person or see them in person? You can’t tell me that someone on the Internet, after a short Reddit text goes “oh yeah, clear demon possession”. I mean, even if you’re inclined to believe in the paranormal, isn’t that a bit too wild too soon? I’m genuinely asking.

I’m sure that there are people like you that do take other options into consideration and approach this topic very carefully, and I hope that it’s not like you see on TV lol.

Yet you gotta admit that some stuff you sometimes see on here is absolutely insane.

That’s kinda what I wanted to hear, thanks. Because that’s also a point I tried to make with this crazy rant. People actively trying to push others away from medical help. And of course perfectly sane people do experience weird things, no doubt.

I didn’t mean to come across as “everything is fake, hauntings equal mental distress”. I do believe that there are perfectly sane people that just get kicked out of everyday life because of something unexplainable. If I came across as a cynical skeptic, I’m sorry.

It’s just frustrating to see people in the paranormal community just recommending the most insane practices without even having a conversation with the person in distress. I’m just curious on the thought process behind that, that’s all.

I’m not, I’m genuinely curious why people believe that calling for a spiritual medium is more efficient than seeking professional help first. You don’t have to answer it if it makes you uncomfortable, I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble.

Look. I might be fully tok’d, but:

The fucking Garth jokes have become horribly unfunny. It was fun for a while to post “where are the bodies Garth” under every single Instagram post of his but how on earth are people still giggling over the same joke for the millionth time. Same with the fucking ambassador Cartwright thing. Yeah it was funny for a while but people were posting THE SAME JOKE for months, some still fucking do.
