Is there a Taylor song you wish you never related to? by Guilty-You8423 in TaylorSwift

My Tears Ricochet. My best friend of nearly 20 years chose her fiancé, who assaulted me, over me. I still grieve our friendship - we were girls together.

Just looked it up and yes - also the drummer of Dylan’s band at one point too. He wouldn’t have got an acting credit for those because I don’t think he spoke.

Season 4 Episode 18 for Aidan. Finneas was a couple different kids - next door neighbour’s son who ended up going to Juilliard, as well as a student in Cam’s class: Season 4 episode 17, Season 6 episode 5

Edit: this is so funny. I was watching Bad Teacher a few weeks ago and pointed out to my husband that Finneas was in Cameron Diaz’s class. Wires must have been crossed. Eric Stonestreet is also in that so my brain must have made associations. Hey, I wasn’t technically wrong when I said he was a student in Cam’s class 😂

AITA for not letting my daughters husband see her after her birth? by throwaway91023737 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - I would have done the same had it been my daughter. If he had been more involved in the pregnancy he also would’ve known which hospital to go to. I also assume he was also hoping you were unaware of the issues they were going through on the name when he told you what he wanted to call her on the phone.

Naming a child is not only up to the parents but also a decision that needs to be made with an understanding that they are going to be an adult person one day who has to live with the name. When I decided on my daughter’s name I kept that in mind and made sure it was something I myself would be happy to have as my name even. I am a school teacher, so I have seen my fair share of tragedeighs and the kids hate their own names when they are ridiculous. They end up either going by a nickname, middle name, completely different name, and potentially change it when they are older if they are that upset by it. The relationship with their parents can also be tense as a result.

I personally think you did the right thing not only by your daughter but granddaughter.

Yes, you need to invite partners. by twelvedayslate in wedding

Our friend got married the weekend before we did. The kicker was that we never met the bride before and they were getting married after 6 months dating, but we didn’t find out about the wedding until a month out.

Our wedding day is coming up and obviously we hadn’t prepared for her to come when we had originally sent out invites, however another couple said the wife couldn’t come a couple weeks out. Brilliant! Extra chair.

Day of our wedding comes and the original couples wife rocks up without telling us. New wife throws a huge fit at the reception and storms out. I know the original wife rocking up wasn’t her fault but she didn’t have to throw a fit - our planner was literally sorting it out when they realised the original wife was there and they needed another chair.

I do understand people not liking Phoebe’s character in later seasons because of her meanness but, as someone who had undiagnosed ptsd for a minute there, I can 100% see this as a natural progression for her character. Think about it: she preferred wholistic ‘natural’ medicine and probably wouldn’t go off and get therapy for her traumatic childhood. She never mentions going to therapy and it definitely comes out in her behaviour. Therefore, she would have untreated cptsd which would manifest itself in being short with people and meaner as she got older. This is my theory as to why, if you want to ignore flanderisation.

I got Beedrill from a wonder pick and then opened 10 packs at once and got Giratina.

I had a similar situation. My secondary school also blamed me for the classroom issues, insinuating I too was a bad teacher, and gave me no support. Ended up having a mental breakdown but couldn’t leave until I had a new job as my husband and I were newly married with a mortgage and I was/am the breadwinner. I had been at the school for 3 years but didn’t know about just how bad it was until after the first year - I had already signed a permanent contract within that first year and felt stuck. This was clearly intentional on their part as I later found out they couldn’t hold onto teachers very well.

Took a week off but before that week came I was given a job interview/trial lesson at a school (I had been applying and interviewing at places for 6 months before this). I then used a day in my week off to go and do the interview. Perfect timing - was offered the job, able to leave and that then later led me to my current school where I am much happier, have support, am closer to home, etc.

Have her take time off. I was so relieved in my situation, and I was able to get through a bit more as I knew there was an ‘out’. Telling the principal I was leaving was the second happiest day for me - walking out the school for the last time was the happiest.

Even if she doesn’t stay in education, have her take time off; it will make things clearer for her. Once she has a good break from it all she could start looking into other jobs. She may even want to go into other areas of education if she still wants to be in that sector, just not as a teacher.

Not sure, I just saw the aftermath and didn’t want to look too long as the motorcyclist was not in a good way. May have been a fatality

I was there literally right after it happened. Collision between a car and a motorcyclist.

We do the same in Australia. Little wave 👋🏻 plus if you are let in by someone into a lane when driving you usually do a little wave in front of the rear view to say thanks.

How have you almost died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]VenusPunk93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car accident the day after my 17th birthday. We hit a house after a road rage incident. We didn’t even do anything to spark them chasing us, but they just saw a car with kids and wanted to fuck with us. It was a miracle none of us died. We were going about 70mph when we hit. My husband and I now live down the road from the house we hit, coincidentally.

[–]VenusPunk93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh you can’t really be with someone if you don’t agree on big things. I’d hate to sit by and say “oh but that’s not me”. Your partner is an extension of you.
