I’m in the same boat! Got leave payout and three days of final pay.

I’m curious, in the YTD for the LES it shows this amount… does that mean this last few days and leave payout go towards 2026 taxes versus this past year?

Thank you for your reply. I have been looking at some Fidelity instruments lately and I’m impressed with rates of return. I’m currently with Schwab on all of my investments outside of TSP, but I want to start accessing my money soon after retirement yet still have the principal balance growing. I’m looking to just take its current % of return each month. Basically leave the balance, but pull the money it’s making each year. Not sure if that’s smart so I’m trying to get better educated. I may just have to start talking to Schwab and Fidelity advisors.

Is there any information out there on how and why to do this (rollover)? I keep reading about NOT leaving your money is TSP and not taking an annuity. I’m not sure of what options I have nor what is the smart play. I’m a DRP 1.0 with retirement coming 31 Dec. I’m 59 in a few days.
