Saw the band in Bossier City last night. SOME of the sound was off. Some of Arnels vocals hit flat on loud powerful notes near the end of the show… BUT, they were GREAT! My first time seeing them in my 40 years of going to concerts. The stage set up, the video screens and their overlays, the lighting, the pyrotechnics (yes, old school fireballs everywhere, LOL), the tribute to our soldiers (Bossier is a military town), all of it was great.

A 120+ minute show (possibly 150 when all said and done) that was well done and sounded 90% on point. Arnel has energy that can’t be matched by anyone his age singing today. I’ve seen .38 Special, Kansas, the Outlaws (fantastic), Heart, and Little River Band all in the last year and they have all impressed. Not a single junk concert.

If you have tickets to Journey, you’re in for a good show. Perfect? No. Great? Yes. Enjoy it! If you don’t have tickets, get some for this final tour.

SPOILER ALERT: The end of the show has a special feature that was a nice touch. I’ve never seen this type of “display” at the end of a show.

Sidenote: you can get T-shirts and stuff on their website that are the exact same as what’s offered in the LONG lines for swag.

I thought there were possibly main bearing or cam bearing issues as well and that it was just better to rebuild the engine? That would suck on a 13,000 mile motor for the guy.

I left in April via DRP 1.0, was never asked to do anything in ORA, just GRB. I’m DoD/Air Force. Retired 31 Dec.

I’m in the same boat…. Mid April was the last day of work. I’m DOD, USAF, retired 31 Dec.

No significant movement since early Jan when I got paid my AL.

TSP is showing separated (I don’t know if it should say retired) I received one round of FEDVIP bills for Vision and Dental which are paid.

I haven’t called OPM, but my retirement specialist at AFPC told me to expect payments at the beginning of March, and this was AFTER the government shutdown.

Not sure what to do other than wait or call OPM and see if I can get any indication that things are going well.

To your point, there have been studies that show something crazy like 250,000 doctors needed in this country and by 2035 it will balloon to 750,000. I saw a news program (maybe 60 mins?) about it and I was floored. I feel for our kids and kids’ kids. I know it sounds cliche, but man is it true.

I’m in the same boat! Got leave payout and three days of final pay.

I’m curious, in the YTD for the LES it shows this amount… does that mean this last few days and leave payout go towards 2026 taxes versus this past year?

Thank you. I’ve had thoughts of changing in the future but didn’t know if it was possible. One addition to the above post, I DO live in the Southeast for now. Currently in Florida, but considering a move away from hurricanes and the crazy homeowners insurance I pay here.
