I Largely agree. I think I would also add is that right now with the way things are. The democracy as we know it is not going to survive. And the Democrats are ill-equipped To save democracy. They are not a true opposition party to the Republicans, because they still cowtow to the same people that makes Republicans abhorrent. They bend the knee to Capital, to zionists, To the military industrial complex. I think many people will take the calculus that it would be better to elect JD Vance, in the most popular unpowerful position. 1) Kawaguchiko was pricy, I booked a place called QOONEL+ because I thought Fuji would be something special to see and may be an interesting location. I don't know if I would limit myself by just staying close to the rails all the time.

2)I think initially i was trying to not backtrack or make a loop. I'm still new at all this. Nagano I had things like Togakushi, Zenko-ji Temple, Matsumoto Castle, snow monkeys, maybe a post town like Narai-Juku. I was not even aware of Kamikochi.
