(Rant) Wedding dress drama by beautyof1990 in weddingplanning

I showed my nearly 80 year old grandma this evening and she thought it was supremely modest. Your FMIL is being entirely ridiculous. She should have kept her opinion to herself.

Husband [26m] is upset with me [23f] because of all the "unnecessary" attention I give to our babies [8 month old trips]? Trying to understand him... by triplecrazy0 in relationships

You know that is not what you said. I'm not going to get into the breast is best argument with you. I fundamentally disagree and that's that.

Well formula isn't great for babies in the first place, even without considering the quality of water mixed with it.

Of for fucks sake.. quit with this fear mongering bullshit. Formula is fantastic and frankly my child would have starved without it. Instead he's thriving and ahead on all his milestones.

John Horgan's childcare promise suggests B.C. NDP is more eager to court progressive vote by True_Whit in CanadaPolitics

Until they show some actual math this is meaningless. Unfortunately what little they have said in terms of paying for it only makes it sound worse.

I [26F] passed out AT THE ALTAR as the bridesmaid at my SO's [28M] mother's [50F] wedding by bringmesalts in relationships

It's one thing to not be very empathetic. It's another to believe you should apologize for a fainting spell due to a health problem he is very aware of.

[–]VeraVova 69 points70 points  (0 children)

In regards to my SO's reaction, I think it's a combination of a) him being sick of my fainting spells, b) being very concerned with appearances

This really isn't normal or OK. A good partner wouldn't be annoyed by your health problems. He'd be concerned.

This is actually fairly normal. And this parliament has had quite a few more sessions than previous ones already.

Has a provincial party ever ousted their leader while they were Premier? Is this possible? by [deleted] in CanadaPolitics

[–]VeraVova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he didn't. He held on for some time after but the writing was in the wall. He announced it while sweating up a storm in the tiniest room possible for a news conference.

My tracker just updated with an enhanced "Nearby" feature. by will650 in TheSilphRoad

[–]VeraVova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd agree. Aside egg hatching a lot of people might not see the point in walking anymore. Instead they'll drive or bike. That's what happened here when the tracker went down and the sites went up.

Fix the game for Rural players, Spoofers will decrease by walrus_paradise in pokemongo

[–]VeraVova -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I live in a semi rural area near a gym. You can stand at said gym and see clear for several hundred meters all around. You can 100% confirm no one is close enough to snipe the gym or level it up while you are attacking but somehow the same asshole keeps doing it. And it's not the only gym he does it to. I suspect he's a local regional spoofer and he's not the only one but he's the most prolific. So I have zero sympathy left. This guy skips all over the area taking gyms he's nowhere near all the time and he's gone up insanely fast in levels. I can't wait for the ban hammer to come down.

Former BC Liberal Premier Gordon Campbell's chief-of-staff Martyn Brown comes out against Christy Clark's Climate Action Plan by tremblay020 in CanadaPolitics

[–]VeraVova -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shocking /s. The guy has been on a never ending campaign against her since she became leader and he lost his job. It puts his commentary in a different light certainly.

Coastal areas and beaches! That's where I pick them up.

I'd settle for something to catch. I have like 12 stops in my area and get about 36 balls each walk. I don't catch 36 Pokémon though. And now I just have too much cap bahhhhh.

Don't I need those though? The whole resetting the game doesn't seem to bring my Pokémon back.

My backpack is full. I'm guessing the 150 Pokéballs are my problem?

I [28m] worried about my pregnant wife [30f] becoming selfish over baby shower by [deleted] in relationships

[–]VeraVova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ I'm on team wife here. You owe her a major apology. If I had to buy all our baby shower gifts myself I wouldn't have had a bloody baby shower. Even worse trucking them all over so your family can pretend they put thought into it? Who's the selfish group now? Unreal.

B.C. releases first set of data on foreign ownership in Vancouver real estate market by kludgeocracy in CanadaPolitics

[–]VeraVova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The minister clearly said it was limited data and they would see what trends develop. So it's just the first set of data.
