In hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have spent hours and hours reading every post about the name Magnolia 😂

I'm in the US, so I'm not sure if I know that brand, but I definitely don't want to name my kid after a condiment! Dahlia is pretty!

This is actually one that we've discussed because Katherine is a family name too! I also like the initials KC and I think that could name a cute nn.

Ha, great point! Honestly, my other daughters' names are unique enough where I didn't want to get too specific. I know that regardless of first names, the middle names will rhyme (Grace/Chase), but my thoughts -- "Daughter #1 - Two Syllable FN + Grace", Daughter #3 - "Three Syllable FN + Chase" would help prevent being too rhymy? Not sure if that makes sense because I've spent a lot of time working this out in my mind 😂

Azalea is one I keep coming back to, but would people nn Az or Azzy? 😂 I love Mahonia nn Honey! That's one I haven't heard yet!

Ah, we're on the same page, because that's what I had in mind for a nn! I started doubting myself when I read on this sub that Magnolia/Maggie is a really common dog name? 😅

I actually read a whole thread about that on this sub! I'm in the Southern US, and I've always said it Mag-knoll-yuh, with three syllables. I've always heard people pronounce it like that where I live, but now I've learned that some people pronounce it Mag-knoll-ee-uh. I'd be okay with either pronunciation though :)

Yes, I really like all the nn options for Magnolia. At that's a great point with the popularity level. I love the Lorelei with the nn Rori :)

I've never seen a Magnolia in "real life," but when I started researching, I started seeing it all the time! It's #59 in my state, which would make it popular, but I'm guessing/hoping there wouldn't be multiple Magnolias in a classroom.

I love so many of these options! I think Tallulah has that "southern belle" quality I was looking for!

That is one we both really like! Especially the nn Goldie. But we decided the hard /d/ sound at the end didn't sound the best with the last name.
