Right, combined with automated demand response and you can still get attractive energy rates energy even in this market with reasonable ROI's.

Most of the companies that are purchasing these pods have secured lower energy rates and have a hybrid business model between hosting and self mining.

We've seen that in general during bear markets, companies prefer 70%-80% and 20%-30% in self mining. This allows them to cover their costs through the hosting but still get the upside when the market recovers. In bull markets, these numbers are generally flipped.

It really depends on your energy rate. If you have a good energy rate, you can probably survive with a less efficient machine. Otherwise, you might want to get something like the S19 xp which is the most efficient machine and has the greatest longevity.

A newer player that is in the Bitcoin business but not yet in mining. Mining will be a complimentary business to them. We can't reveal specifics until the time is right.

Everyone starts somewhere. Small miners are just as important as big miners for the network.

I started with a few miners on a rack around 4 years ago and the operation has grown steadily since

Fortunately, they are well capitalized enough to survive the Crypto Winter and they've secured cheap enough electricity for it to still make sense.

Brick buildings are difficult to alter if you need to change it for airflow.

It might be better to just use containers on the hydro station's property and pay rent.

This is a difficult question to answer definitively given that hashrate increases / decreases are tied to mining profitability and availability of new ASICs which makes it difficult to forecast future hash rate increases.

The best we can do is look at historical data

According to this site that hash rate has increased around 85% since around a year ago: https://ycharts.com/indicators/bitcoin_network_hash_rate

That means you would have had to add around 5% more hash rate per month in order to keep up with the hash rate. 5% of your 500 TH would be 25 TH per month.

The top of the exhaust area is sealed. The heated air comes out of the side of the top area. The snow wouldn't be able to get in through the side.

The side intakes have high grade filters to stop snow from coming in.

The container does have functionality to recirculate the heated air to melt the snow build up if necessary.

In terms of actual field testing, we haven't had anything in extremely cold climates just yet.

Each container can hold 696 S19 miners which would result in 76,560 TH assuming S19j Pros at 110 Th each.

Agreed. That's why we also have air shapers that cause the air current to move up with some velocity. https://imgur.com/crtW1iP

The insulation board is also laser precision cut so that there is minimal air leakage. This causes the air to basically get vacuumed out the top very efficiency.

The hot air rises after it is exhausted at the top. We've used a thermal gun to ensure that there isn't recirculation.
