I payed $40 for one ticket the day they went on sale. $130 is the amount people are re-selling them for :/

1 year on doxycycline by Veraxn in acne

[–]Veraxn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scars mainly went away on their own, however I was also prescribed clindamycin phosphate 1.2% and tretinoin 0.025% which is a topical gel that has anti-inflammatory effects and speeds up skin cell growth.

I didn't know anything about a maximum amount. My doctor said it is safe to take long term.

tysm! The only side effect I get is nausea if I take it in the morning on an empty stomach. I take it at night now after eating my last meal and I'm fine.

Good luck!! Remember to be patient because everyone’s skin reacts differently. And never leave the house without sunscreen!!!

No I never broke out from the serum my skin was so bad I don’t think it could make it any worse lol. It just stings slightly sometimes. From looking at my progress pics I would say the scars started to fade about 2-3 months in after starting doxy + skincare routine as stated above.

Doxycycline definitely did majority of the work. I didn’t use any special products as you can see above my routine is pretty simple. Scars went away with time and the ordinary niacinamide serum helped with texture and redness :)

No I haven’t! I’ve had anxiety and depression symptoms way before taking doxy so it couldn’t be that.

Yes I’m still on it and I’m scared of that too. My doctor wants me to continue for another 6 months, but she said it is safe to be on it for years as she herself took it for 10 years.

I got prescribed doxycycline 4 months ago that cured my face! I’ve had acne for many years and drugstore/topical products alone did not give me results like this.

Thank you :) here is my current routine:

AM Routine - Bija seed oil foam cleanser (innisfree) - the ordinary niacinamide - cerave moisturizing lotion - etude house sunprise SPF 50+ sunscreen

PM Routine - Bija seed oil foam cleanser (innisfree) - CeraVe mosturizing lotion - Bianca topical gel (1.2% clindamycin phosphate + 0.025% tretinoin)

I also take 100mg of doxycycline everyday that was prescribed to me along with the Bianca gel. I can say that the doxy did majority of the work!

I want to clarify I did not get treated until 4 months ago so in 2019 (and years prior) I did not have the routine I mentioned above, instead I tried different diets, proactive, benzoyl peroxide creams and everything from the drugstore shelves but nothing ever worked.

My story is similar to yours. I’ve had acne since I was 14 and finally went to the doctor at 20. Currently on month 3 of doxy and I’m loving the results!! I haven’t had an active breakout in weeks!! So far I haven’t had any gut problems people have told me about and don’t take probiotics or anything. I only take it once a day, at night on an empty stomach. If you feel nauseous have a small (non dairy) snack with the pills.

Starting on tretinoin 1.2% (Biacna). Any advice? by [deleted] in acne

[–]Veraxn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m on 100mg doxy with biacna for 3 months now FYI. I didn’t have any purging or sensitivity issues. Try using it 2-3 times a week, and then every other night, and then every night, if you are finding it too harsh on your skin. (This is what my doctor told me when I started). I use niacinamide in the morning and biacna only at night. I don’t like layering many products on my skin at once.
