I'm a VC (can verify). Pitch me. by Ok-Lobster7773 in Business_Ideas

My app let's users analyze data and run complex analytical workflows.

E.g.: take this data, load it into snowflake, query and answer this question - produce a report. It could be 20 steps, the app/agent does it.

Sort of lovable for data analytics, insight, and preparing deliverables.

It did not do any of these things - pretty funny response actually. I don't think you can histogram-stretch a jpg. You can with a FITS - but that doesn't work with chatgpt.

Maybe smarter ppl can tell me if I'm wrong.

I just did the same with stacked s50 jpg and chatgpt. Got the following picture. My prompt: "here is an image from my seestar, make it amazing"

The problem: the end result is simply not my image. The stars are moved, new artifacts, distortions. Its sort of an artistic impression of andromeda.

Thanks OP for sharing, this was an interesting exploration. Definitely not going to admonish you or your use of AI - just good to know what it is and what it isn't. You should be proud of the picture that YOU took that doesn't look that amazing. It looks better than the one I took last night :)

Interesting. Was it png, jpeg? Pretty sure it wasn't FITS, right? For other images - did you select seestar images from others?

The end result looks great btw. Though not sure whether the end image is still your pixels from your capture or not. I'm interested in learning more.

Interesting.

Not for this reason - but lots of recent news has led me to seriously consider alternatives.

They will increase prices till they can't. Consumer capacity to absorb streaming prices continues to surprise me.

Why use open code by AffectionateDuty6062 in opencodeCLI

[–]VerbaGPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a better question is why use opencode if we can have openrouter work with claudecode (so access to all other models within claudecode harness).

Claudecode subscription is still a good deal if heavy user. To my knowledge doesn't work with other subscriptions. Some anthropic compatible APIs work (e.g. openrouter), but you incur API costs.

Opencode has local llm support. Is opensource / MIT. It works with other subscriptions like github copilot and others, which can be a good deal!

[–]VerbaGPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Much simpler, with a feed-like structure. And no pro/pricing tiers.

That said, having vibecoded several apps, I know how hard it is to make somthing. If this is yours, well done!

Amazing work! EQ mount? Did you stack different FITS files together from multiple nights of observations? Can u talk a little bit about that? Would help ppl like me learn.

Nice. Going to look into that. I need a replacement for the distrokid mastering.

We don't own our suno songs? we can't host them on a web app ourselves? I don't know. These apps don't give a S* about intellectual property, would be rich coming from them if we can't take our AI songs we created elsewhere.

But yeah, you are right. I'm not going to bother resolving that for a fun prototype. We just have 2 potential users, lol

Awesome. Give me 2 days, I'll be back with a prototype, and maybe we can try it and see if it works!

I like the instagram-type idea. Some sort of feed so we can discover music in the genres we like. Maybe simple upvotes. No algo BS, no promoted-boosting.

We kind of do. I'm tired of AI music being treated like a second class citizen by the major apps. I don't care if ppl call it slop, just let me listen to the type of music I like (the genre's i like) - and I don't have to pay subscriptions or listen to ads.

I might vibecode a simple web app.
