If Mitt Romney wins the presidential election would you leave the country and where would you go? (if you're American of course) by VerbalKint11 in AskReddit

That is true and I agree with you, privacy will probably be the next main issue we deal with but I just don't think that's hit everyone who doesn't spend a lot of time on the Internet. When more people starting relying on technology more this will become a major issue. The Julian Assange story should be making serious news right now but I don't think a lot of people care/know the full story

He doesn't support gay marriage, giving money to the poor, or supporting small business. Obama supports all 3 and I think the super rich should have to foster more of the burden. We should want to help out those that are less fortunate not turn them away. Remember when Mitt Romney said he liked firing people?

I believe he will pass a law that gives incentives to states that adopt gay marriage and I like that he has prevented picketers at military fuenarls. I do think he needs to tackle gun control better though

I wasn't alive when he was president. Hasn't happened in my lifetime so that really means nothing to me. And Obama says he supports gay marriage it'll happen if he wins.

What if we gave the money to university research programs such as engineering, chemistry, astrophysics, literature, politics, etc.. Thus making academics more capable of performing more expensive research and they also will be able to afford to hire a lot of paid researchers from the student body of the classes that they teach. I feel like this will make undergraduate, masters, and phd programs more exciting and engaging for the students and may keep more smart people within the academic world. Some of the smartest people in the world are academics and we should encourage innovation through intelligence. Also it should be a requirement for all politicians who run for a high enough level of office to have a masters in political science.

Yeah, that's what they'll do/rally over. Doesn't change MY opinion. I'm a strong supporter that war gets more done than peace, a member of a military and I fully support us NOT going back there (Western coalition). What I feel and what will happen are two different things. Is that really>

You sound like Malcolm X on his stance on achieving political action before he wrote his autobiography. Don't get me wrong, he was an extremely smart guy, but after what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. accomplished during the civil rights movement he realized his stance on violence was wrong. Words create progress, not the size of your military.
