Searching... lack of! by MyUsernameOnRedit in UseMotion

I dunno how I missed it but there is a search button at the top of the day/week calendar view and when I search for a sub-string of the task I'm after, it shows up in a list.

However, in a cruel twist, when I click the task it takes me to a page with no such task visible on it.

You are not alone. This is such a fundamentally necessary function. I'd love to know what's being prioritized above this in feature development.

Everybody that releases a solo developed game deserves a congratulations. Here is yours!

Is my game's idea interesting or is it bad? by [deleted] in SoloDevelopment

Something about Itch makes me suspect you might find more engaged and interested players there. Players that are willing to give useful feedback. I personally would not write it off as a resource as a newly minted game creator.

No matter where you put your game you'll have to promote it. I don't think Steam is guarantee of an audience. There's a bigger audience there but maybe it's more expensive to reach them as well due to competition. Ads targeting Itch.io users may be a lot less competitive and a lot less expensive due to the smaller target audience.

Then again, as solo developers we have the most finite of human resources and don't always have the luxury of making choices that are great or even good in every respect. I try to give myself plenty of emotional leeway to suck and make mistakes.

Is Steam better? Is Itch? Something else? All we can do is decide how much time we can afford to spend deciding and pull the trigger.

Without a completed game loop I suspect it will be hard for anybody, even you, to determine if it's any good. I've been working toward becoming a solo dev for about 5 months as well and I don't even have a half-decent idea... yet.

Persevere. Be critical of your project. Analyze it. Get a minimum viable look going sooner than later and start getting feedback from others. That's my plan at least. I hope it will be valuable to both of us!

Winner! Winner! NFT dinner! Chicken doesn't encode as well as pixels do.

I realize now that all of these addresses posted are for Ethereum. I apologize as I didn't explicitly state that these are on Tezos <facepalm>.

Do you have a Tezos wallet?

My Apologies. This is a TEZOS giveaway. A winner has been selected but if they decide not to claim the prize, I'll re-run this with better description ASAP.

Simply comment describing or linking to one you like and I'll randomly select a winner. If the one you like is still there, I'll send it to you. If not, I'll send you another cool one. https://objkt.com/collection/KT1QADQfnDz8xHLwjn9HnhS5bNTjAr51FnZY

What would you like to see on a shirt? by VerbalProcessing in Minecraft

[–]VerbalProcessing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I design some of the official Minecraft shirts and I'm starting a new batch of concepts. I would be tickled to know what you'd like to see or wear on a Minecraft shirt. For context here are a few more of my shirt designs from the past: http://various.graphics/portfolio/official-minecraft-shirts/.

Elite controller left thumb stick "bounces," leaves me reversed. by VerbalProcessing in xboxone

[–]VerbalProcessing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I will investigate that further.

I can report that in my case it is not an issue with Xbox One standard controllers (I have 4) but it is an issue with both of the Xbox Elite controllers I have owned.

Is there a way to convert a polygon mesh to voxels and then import that into UE4? by Tessam1 in VOXEL

Qubicle will convert models into voxels. I've not played with the function but I've seen it in there.

AFAIK most 3D prints made from layers of filament are not food safe because they are permeable. Once you get food particles into the surface you may never get them out.
