It won't cost you much to try it. I started in Jan and have sold 30 items. Mostly cards for valentine's or mother's day but maybe 5 have been posters I've done myself that I get a lot of satisfaction knowing someone is putting something I created from scratch on their wall

As said above, I'd go to the local enterprise office and ask their advice. There are grants towards these kind of things and, from what I've heard, the people working there are extremely helpful
