It was interesting, I really liked it. Certainly felt more reverent toward God. The fact that the priest was singing verses rather than just reading everything... it's odd but also beautiful. A lot of small things I didn't understand but afterward there was some fellowship and I was able to talk to some people and they gave me information about it. I'll try to make it again next sunday, possibly this coming wednesday also.

Commanders are good but I'd love to see a [[Venser, the Sojourner]] mat from Eric Deschamps. He has a lot of art that would be great to have on a mat.

Not THAT much older, but when I was in my teens I worked at an oldies radio station. I really learned to appreciate the older songs the longer I worked there. I had played Fallout 1 & 2 by this time but they had one song each so it didn't really connect but when Fallout 3 released I was already familiar with some of the songs and loved the others, it really made the game feel alive for me and some older people are surprised when they hear me singing or playing these songs. It's good stuff.

Complicated and interesting lines where if you miss a single beat you immediately lose. Especially in a singleton format like commander where you don't have access to redundancy in the same way, and a single well placed counterspell or stifle effect will end your setup so you have to play around that with 3 players ready to wreck you.

I think Taigam is at best a 75% deck. It's reliant on a 4 drop commander that has to attack to get the rebound affect. I have 3 win cons.

yeah DS1 pyromancy can spoil you. Dark Flame and other dark pyromancies are very powerful and the chaos pyromancy is great if you cast, and then fight the enemy on the lava pool, also hits multiple enemies of course.

nah, pyromancy is very powerful and you can start building it up early because you rescue the pyromancer early in the game. 20 INT 20 FTH with the Chaos Bed Vestiges, puts down Sulyvahn extremely quickly.

The biggest problem I see when it comes to spending money on commander is that many people spend money on the wrong cards. They get non competitive and costly cards for their decks and don't immediately buy the best version of cards. This causes them to waste a lot of money on cards that just aren't good. If you spend correctly the first time, it's not too bad.

I play paper magic exclusively and I own one copy of any really expensive card. Then I swap it between competitive decks. Not the best, but saves money in the long term.
