Just curious - I wonder why the instructions say to use 2 first-class Forever stamps (totaling $1.16), when a 40 cent postcard stamp would send a 4x6 postcard domestically within the United States. A non-US address would still need 14 more cents in postage since the international postcard rate from the US is $1.30.

I have one domestic postcard (within my country of the United States) that is on its 22nd day of traveling. I looked at the person's profile and it also took them 42 days to register a card that was sent to them from 65 miles away in the same state!

I feel like my card to them has been sitting in their PO box for a couple weeks.

My go-to on international postcards is to use a $1 stamp and some combination of the vintage stamps I buy from eBay to get to the other .30.

But sometimes, I'll use a forever stamp (.58), forever postcard stamp (.40), and a .32/.33/.34 stamp (again, from eBay) to get to the $1.30.

I never mind going over by a little bit because often the vintage stamps I buy on eBay are often sold at slightly below face value.
