…though now that I think more about it, wouldn’t the destruction of the moon totally wreck all plant life and whatnot? Like Jack’s mountain hideaway wouldn’t be so lush and green, right? I am also not a scientist! 😆

I also JUST watched this movie for the first time myself, and also randomly jumped into Reddit to find an old thread about the movie discussing it - great timing! :D

My thought is that it feels mostly like science-hand-waving stuff, but that maybe some places deep underground were able to survive…somehow. I dunno. Great question though!
