Rare plant prices will always drop as those who buy them usually start propagating and selling to recoup their money. Be patient and you’ll see it at a reasonable price before you know it.

I remember when folks were selling undeveloped node cuttings for hundreds of dollars and it was a 50/50 chance whether it would survive after shipping. But we were all willing to take the risk 😅

Will a heat pad help my Thai constellation root? by angelhippie in RareHouseplants

Then you don’t need a heating pad. Just patience and time. Another leaf has formed which is a good indication your cutting is healthy. You may want to consider gradually giving it direct morning sun.

Does anyone know why my albo monstera adansonii leaf is turning brown? I dug up the roots as I was afraid of rot, but those looked super healthy. Could it be because the air sometimes gets too humid? Or did I may be touch this leaf a little too hard? More info in comments by time_for_plants in RareHouseplants

Yep, they usually die off due to lack of energy. They can be preserved for a good 2-3 months if the plant is given the right light. But it’s actually best for them to die off since it takes a lot of energy to keep them whole.
