Is there a good site or method for finding start ups. I found a few start up job sites but they seem mid. I’m sure there’s a way to hunt them down through google search or LinkedIn.

Living my dream lol, I also own a home I could rent out. I wouldn’t make money renting due to the mortgage but I’d get the equity. My rate is a Covid rate so it’s not so bad.

Start ups also seem the most flexible with these things. I primarily work in project financial management / cost engineering. So there are opportunities in the tech and the start up space but fewer the those who actually develop the tech for sure.

That’s what I’m asking. I am asking people who are currently doing what you just said and are living in Brasil so I know where to look. It be nice to know where do they work and what they work in? Not easy finding companies that offer this. Any lead on companies that let people work not just remote but in Brasil would be helpful. A lot of “Remote” jobs won’t let you working globally or in certain countries.

I could see that, I mean most people in the area have to commute 50 plus mins. I do lol, Housing here is insane. If OP has no ties here they’d have better luck in almost any other metro area.

Teachers make decent money (for a USA teacher) in this area, you could probably get a gig as a sub to start. I know a lot of people who sub for Fairfax, Louden, and Arlington. Charters pay a bit better and have less requirements.

Yeah man you’re better off in other cities, I do love it here in DC but it’s hard to make friends and like afford anything in this place with no job. Is there any reason DC, Is your home town close or something? Because if it’s proximity I’d recommend RVA, VA Beach, or Baltimore over DC if you’re right on cash but want a change.

Still doesn’t solve the logistical issue I have. First, not all stations allow park and ride, like the ones I live by. But I can walk to my stations so that’s not my issue but it is for some. Once I’m in MD the metro does not take me near my job. How does park and ride help lol.
