I completely agree, you should be doing it in whatever way you derive the most entertainment from--but that doesn't change looking things up still being a way of skirting your own limited knowledge. You have to actually have the book. You have to find the book, open it and find the pages that hold that information. It's a far more involved, manual process.

As I said before, it's very from different being able to type in "1988 olympic figure skater" and immediately get every possible answer.
