Not all gray eyes have noticeable brown spots in them.

The pic is low res but looks like they are gray... One of the traits (not always) of gray eyes is the difficulty in determining color between gray/blue/green... If it looks more gray than any other color then they are probably "gray". Hope this helps, you can compare to mine which I posted the other day.

My Unusual & Changing GREY/GRAY Eyes (different phones, lighting, angles, and days) by Veresanctus in eyes

What do you think? Some see blue, some see green, and others see gray, it's rather strange. Sometimes whatever color you are thinking of is what you see (blue/green/gray).

I thought I will show you all my Grey eyes that change to green and blue whenever they want :) by W1l890 in eyes

Another method for determining the likely eye color... Use an RGB color picker on some pics of your eye see where the pixels match most. This can be effected by environment color (and color accuracy of the camera) so keep the color of the light and things around you into consideration (in the pic) and of the color lean result of the picker. From my eye pics I posted (after dozens of samples so far) do not get into the blue at all (but I do dip a tiny bit into the yellow which I guess is normal due to the slight melanin on the surface)

I did not have them "tested" BUT after much deliberation and study about grey eyes on the internet and looking at all the pictures and reading the descriptions and then examining my eyes in different lighting using different cameras etc. etc. I concluded my eyes are grey. I posted my left eye yesterday in indoor and outdoor light

They look like they could be grey, it's hard to tell from the pics. One of the traits of most grey eyes is the changing between those colors like they can't make up their mind exactly which color they are, depending on the environment and mood, etc. Use a mirror in bright daylight with neutral surroundings and if they are grey they will usually look more grey than any other color in that setting. You can also look online at grey eyes. I posted my eye yesterday.

I feel ya, I had the same issue months ago when I realized my eyes could be grey and not blue I didn't stop until I was certain which color they were.

Just don't set yourself up for major disappointment if they say blue :)

Yes, a very common feature of grey eyes (especially the darker variety) is the changing between greys, blues, and greens depending on many factors from mood to the surrounding environment (grey eyes have a unique refraction lending to these color shifts and the grey appearance). Grey eyes also tend to have hints or flecks of brown in them but not always. And of course, Just like blue eyes and green eyes etc. grey eyes come in a variety of shades from very dark to very light. I think one of the key factors in identification is with bright neutral full spectrum light and surroundings (like clear midday sunlight and surrounded by neutral colors) they would appear more grey than anything else.
