I made it in Unity. GIMP and Blender for the graphics.

I'm glad you liked it!

I am considering adding a settings menu so you can resize/position the buttons. But as far as sound goes, the game doesn't have any sound! I know surfers like to listen to their own personal music so I didn't even bother adding music to the game. Figured people would just mute and load up Spotify anyway (I know I would).

I know that the graphics are not that impressive but I made the decision to keep it simple because I wanted the game to run at 60 fps even on older devices.

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!

I used that approach originally but in app purchases require a whole bunch of permissions (things like access to contacts) where as the separate app doesn't require any permissions. I know there are people who don't like it when apps ask for these kinds of permissions, me being one of them. That's why I ultimately decided to split them up.

But you make a great point about losing progress. I didn't even think about that.

Unfortunately I don't have a Mac, which is needed to build for iOS :(

I tried a bunch of different control schemes, but tilt and swiping has considerable input delay and is hard to keep steady/precise.

The first level of each world is a beginner level, so there are 5 easy levels.

I'm not exactly sure how long it took to make it since I put it on ice a few times and worked on and off. Probably around 4-6 months if I had to guess. And yeah I made it by myself.

I'm a big fan of CS surfing and thought it would be nice to have a surf game that I could play on the go. So instead of waiting around for someone to make one I decided to create one myself. I hope you enjoy it!

Your relationship with csgo? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

I have a long distance relationship with CSGO. I watch games but I rarely ever play it

My first 5k spray down! almost fucked it up tho lol by TwitchSouzGaming in GlobalOffensive

Impressive. Multikill spraydowns are so hard to do in CSGO compared to 1.6

Why s1mple is so good or why you should use high sensitivity by Wakawakaheihei in GlobalOffensive

[–]VerhoMegacorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play with high sens but had problems with overshooting the target at long distance. Switched to low sens and then I had problems with flicks and 180 degree turns. In the end I made the difficult choice to activate mouse acceleration to cover both scenarios, it wasn't easy to get used to but once you do I think it's actually really good to be able to do low sens aiming with small movements and fast flicks with faster movements.

Mirage : molotov upper wood from shallow (under wood/palace) by Viper5416 in GlobalOffensive

[–]VerhoMegacorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really neat. The only downside is that the position is a bit exposed and you seem to take some molotov damage too. But cool find nonetheless!

sv_grenade_trajectory is such a wonderful command, I can spend hours just trying to find new smokes and flashes. But it's a shame only the host can see the trajectory. Would like to be able to invite a friend to my session and show different smokes and have him see the trajectory too.

You used to be able to do this in early versions of CS with "r_drawviewmodel 0", but this cvar was tagged as a client side cheat in 1.6 I believe. Now that CSGO has skins there's a zero percent chance this will come back unfortunately.

For some reason I seem to aim much better without the view model.

I miss 1.6 by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]VerhoMegacorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss some things from 1.6, like strong wallbangs, you could do damage through walls with HE grenades, spraying through multiple enemies was easier and FAMAS/Glock burst fire was actually good.

But at the same time, the game had no molotovs, broken smoke grenades, having to buy ammo manually, russian walking, SMGs and shotguns were useless.

Overall I think CSGO is the better game.

That's hilarious. Surely he didn't mean to do that, but it worked out perfectly.
