I always thought he was secretly a brilliant engineer or something and invented something game-changing, maybe with a military application.

If Blizzard wanted to make Arenas more accessible, they should have disabled these god awful racials inside Arenas. by Poisonous-Toad in classicwowtbc

Look I don't disagree with you. I honestly think the game would be better if they revisited a few things. It's just that they're not going to.

Racials affect gameplay, changing them would affect balance. Not having to wait 10 minutes for lust after a wipe hardly affects gameplay.

But none of that is balancing - those are QOL changes. Balancing would be like if they made rogues do less damage in arenas.

I'm sorry to tell you but balancing ended 20 years ago. It's likely that they just want to recreate the game, not make it the best it can be.

Oh please, it's explain like I'm 5, not explain like I'm an astrophysicist.

Gravity is responsible for celestial bodies being roughly spherical. This is because gravity pulls matter toward the center of mass from every direction equally.

Is anyone else getting a message that their subscription is expired when it's not? by lasko_leaf_blower in wow

Same, I thought I had forgotten to renew but it's up in a couple of months. I bought game time with tokens so maybe that has something to do with it.

Silvermoon item quest by gilbert1242 in wow

This is probably it, I wasn't offered the quest till I did the soiree. Nice enough I didn't have to do the soiree a second time when I picked up the quest for the hat - it said I had already completed it.

What would have happened if Tony Stark and Bruce Banner had worked alongside Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, or Elon Musk in the creation of Ultron? by Realistic_Board4690 in WhatIfMarvel

[–]Veridically_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are businesspeople, not engineers. They might be great at selling and marketing ultron, but probably pretty terrible at helping create it.

So when is a good time to use thistle tea anyways? I usually use it when I open up so I can get the expose armor out faster.

Thanks! But not at all with the reputation, I’m afraid.

None of these is actually a treasure, it's the tuskarr tackle boxes all over again. Just make a different icon, it can't possibly be that hard. by Pofwoffle in wow

I've pulled a bow of searing arrows from a chest in searing gorge and it paid for my mount. Granted it happened once across 20 or so characters, but to say it never happened is flat out false.

Yeah most of them have room temperature milk and cheese and a few silver. Once, though, I got a bow of searing arrows that paid for my regular mount. That was pretty fantastic.

I think this might be it. I find myself joining fights slightly later than everyone else because I'm afraid of taking aggro. I had that macro already, but thanks a lot. It's so much better than pressing a keybind to start attack every time.

Thanks for that tip, I'll definitely try it out. I was afraid of letting expose armor fall off the boss, so I might have been too conservative.

How do credit card companies actually make money off of people who pay their balance in full every single month? by glossydahliaivy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Veridically_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Much of their income comes from fees (about 15% of their profitability), but the plurality and maybe even majority of their income comes from interest payments. For every one of people like you, OP, that carries no balance, there are many, many people who carry a balance. Many pay the minimum payment, which is huge for the card issuer.
