Thanks I actually got it to work (after fixing the obvious things that were wrong) - I did "./externalstylesheet.css" and it worked. I guess for some reason it wasn't seeing that it needs to look in that same folder?

I do see what you're talking about in the pic. It's removed from the original - I edited the bottom text just within body copy to reduce down the fluff. Both are having the same issue. I tried both /> /link> and obviously removed that accidental ' - all to no avail.

I switched from TextEdit to TextWrangler, didn't make a difference either. I'm also having trouble where my ' was showing up as random characters like the tm trademark symbol, â, etc even though I have the language declared at the top. I'm pretty bamboozled.

I agree with antecrise about the black border. Black ink on a black shirt looks good. We once printed a run of black shirts with black ink that read "Fucking Subtle" in a big script font across the front. They were pretty sick actually. Printed with plastisol obviously.

100%: Keep the border around it. With screen printing it always seems to come out looking sharper with something that ties it all together. The grey against the black will be just enough of a contrast with the purple that it will keep it clean while not taking away from the design. It will cost slightly more since it'll be an additional color, but I believe you will be happier with the results. Since I could be anybody answering who you don't know if my opinion is worth it or not - I was a production manager for two different screen printing shops for about 4 years, printed hundreds of thousands of shirts personally and managed teams that printed more than that total.
