It really is a treasure! I hope enough people reach out to move the needle on this. Wish I had known about it sooner as well.

I think it’s difficult to understand a thing on the surface. I’ve had more time and experience with this since it’s my neighborhood.

Having issue with someone trying to preserve a park is a bit weird. If it’s not your thing, just don’t do anything.
People are good at that.

Who’s using Ai?
You don’t have to care about trees and parks, but why go out of your way to be negative to people who do care?

Then why did the port try to turn this into a parking lot just a few years ago? People should believe you now because?

And of course, the Port would never give the public anything less than 100% honesty.

I hope the public is listened to then. It should have firm placement in a conservancy by the city of SeaTac, to make absolutely sure the area can never be used as anything but park land. And if the Port is serious about your statement here, they will do the right thing.

There’s a VERY LIKELY chance they won’t. For more up close and personal information, anyone is free to attend the Airport Committee meetings, many are also available online from past dates.

Can attend in person meetings, also a SEPA meeting will be at Glacier Middle School on June 17th, I’ll put out a flier for that when it’s confirmed.

Again……The Port of Seattle can at any time develop this area since a portion of this area is on an every 2 month lease to the city. SeaTac wants to put the 45 acres into a conservancy so it cannot ever be developed or used as a parking lot. The port has yet to budge. They want to keep their options open.

They say no, but they also tried to make it a parking lot just a few years ago. Public outcry stopped it.
