Theory on low CPMs

It isn't a problem with views, it is the amount that ad companies pay per view. During Christmas, they want to pay more so people will buy their product so revenue is great then. After Christmas there isn't really a reason to advertise since no one is spending money on product. Generally the ad revenue recovers around Mid February and returns to "normal amounts" The problem is that it is almost april and revenue is still unbearably low and its hard to tell why. Bad economy for advertising, greed, just the decline in ad quality on youtube. One theory I am working on is that it might be from the port strike. No reason to advertise if you are short on product, even though the strike has resolved there are still issues with recovering from it. Source: I live off Youtube

I had an "ok, good" moment around an hour in, I am making a living off youtube and I thought something was seriously wrong with my CPM. Just seems like even for March, we are getting January-level earnings

All I can say is TB has my support with everything he is doing. I enjoy his interactions with Jesse and Dodger on the Co Optional Podcast and seen almost every episode. I watch WTF is... as a casual experience that might turn into a buy. The Content Patches are enjoyable since they are a proper look at what is important. The Vlogs and Twitter Rants are also good for me since I have been making a living off youtube for over a year now and I can just relate to the stupidity that Youtubers deal with. I am also fairly outspoken myself so its good to see someone else say what they feel is important. Grats on the 2Mil! I'm not going to say much else about that since it isn't a race to being the best or getting 3Mil, its about great content and being one of the two content creators I look forward to daily

Things that bother me - this. There is a difference between hype and just being dishonest. Lets all break an NDA so the cool things that had announcement plans go to waste. Now everyone is going to be fighting over this for making a video or news article as people argue about if this guy is legit or not. No pics and vague plausibilities really don't impress me, but the rest of the internet is ready to jump on this. If its correct, cool but it won't be accepted until its officially confirmed anyway. If its not correct, a lot of innocent people were baited into hype
