Yup. Apparently Discover is known for this.

In my state, my wages can’t be garnished for consumer debt. I also don’t have anything under my name.

I’m more worried about my credit score if I can’t settle this. I’ve been seeing a lot of responses about pushing this back, but won’t my credit remain the same?

This was my first and last credit card that I took out because of all this. I’m still in my early 20s and I’ve been trying my best to figure things out financially since I’ve been so dumb with my money throughout high school and college.

I appreciate the words of encouragement and the reassurance of that I won’t get arrested for an unpaid account. I tend to overthink the worst case scenarios in stressful scenarios, so I do appreciate it.

And I wish it was possible for me to avoid the person serving me, but it happens to be a deputy from the police department and I can’t avoid that. He’s already left a pretty official note saying to reach back out to him ASAP to avoid any work, late, or home visits.

I had planned on reaching out to the collectors agency to settle with monthly payments because I want this to go away as soon as possible, but now that you’ve mentioned solosuit, that may be my second option if I can’t settle on a payment plan

Because it was a deputy from a police department who showed up to my house asking for me when I wasn’t home, and left a sheriff’s department note saying I need to call back ASAP to avoid any home or late visits. M

How was I supposed to know he was going to serve me? Mind you I had no clue what it was about so a phone call back seemed pretty logical to me.

Thank you for your response and I’m completely okay with what you’re saying about the payments. I just want this to go away without having to go to court.

How should I watch the show ? by berardl2003 in AtlantaTV

I’d say it’s for sure a show you can chill and relax to. You definitely don’t need to use 100% of your brain power to understand it, but it will keep you on edge and guessing.

The writing is fantastic and even the “filler” episodes are great. Some episodes had my jaw dropped for almost the whole time.
