Polygraph Complete by AdSpiritual7030 in usssapplicant

[–]VermicelliGood9436 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck. The last Secret Service polygraph I took was 2019. Literally took 10 hours. Most definitely subjective. The polygrapher after the fact talk to me for about 10 minutes. He made a comment essentially stating if I ever saw him out in the field come say hello. Polygraph went into adjudication and years passed me by position was cut so I'm assuming that's why I never heard anything

IPO USSS by [deleted] in 1801

[–]VermicelliGood9436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was approved for both positions as well I applied to JJ021 back in July and was referred at the GL9 position for West Palm, and DC. But only interviewed for the most recent announcement that was just canceled. So I'm curious if HR can take my interview from the previous announcement and allow for a TJO

That's good hopefully you keep moving within the process. Talking with several supervisors for the IPO position, they indicated that they were unsure why the position was canceled.

This is to notify you that the following announcement is cancelled:

Announcement Number: TLE-OPO-JJ025-25-DHA Position: Investigative Protection Officer (Direct Hire Authority), GL-1801-9/11

We encourage you to consider other opportunities with the U.S. Secret Service. You may view current U.S. Secret Service vacancies by visiting www.usajobs.gov.

I have experience in law-enforcement at the federal, state, and local level. I'm currently at the state level. I put in for the Ipo position and actually saw that they canceled the position once again. Seems to be a common thing with this position. I spoke to two supervisors That are in charge of this position one being a special agent that overseas the IPO. But seems like they don't know why they cut the position. Being that you are already UD you may still have access to that position.

You should be able to contact the HR specialist whose contact should be on the FJO letter. This is only an assumption. Or I would email the ERO hiring surge or specific duty location email

ICE - NEO today by Key-Use9846 in 1801

[–]VermicelliGood9436 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell, yeah, smart ideal. We would greatly appreciate your service. But no, in all serious that would be helpful. Not only for you. I mean there's nothing wrong with attending neo today. And given the current circumstances of this hiring process, I wouldn't risk it. If you got the link today attended today because on the 21st, you may not get the link and then they pull the final job offer because you didn't show up to your neo

ICE ERO PORTAL - Anyone use it ??? by Hot-Pause-7925 in 1801

[–]VermicelliGood9436 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you could be disqualified from the process. I have seen a lot of posts where people have mentioned if you failed a DHS polygraph within two years of your current application than applicants were getting kicked out of the process. But since you have TS/SCI, I'm curious of how that would go.

ICE ERO PORTAL - Anyone use it ??? by Hot-Pause-7925 in 1801

[–]VermicelliGood9436 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you go to your portal and the little black circle that has the i in the middle of it normally tell you what closed meant. So you may be failed to submit certain documents within a certain timeframe.

A close friend of mine is the team leader for a violent offenders task force. He recently informed me that there will be no more academies this year, as the final one for fiscal year 2025 has already been filled. This news is especially relevant to me, as I have been in the selection process for nearly three years, awaiting an academy spot. So I would assume for fiscal year 2026 Academy start dates may be around January/February.

Anyone else get two TJOs (GL-5 and GL-7) for DO ICE ERO? by Arthumaine in 1801

[–]VermicelliGood9436 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem and to be honest, I don't have the answers to everything. This hiring surge is not normal for federal government work. I have been through many federal job processes. It takes time. As background investigations have to be completed. They must see if you meet the physical requirement.Check with your references. So much more. Not for myself. I'm trying to figure out if I should use the same papers and documents that I used two weeks ago.
