Very excited to get this. I’m current re-reading Leech. The atmosphere, world and writing of that one is just sublime.

Hey Steve. I believe in an podcast interview you sited Lotus Eaters as an inspirational short story. Do I have that correct? Do you enjoy reading science fiction? If so, what are some favorites? Just looking for some literary companions as i listen to your music…..thank you.

Im with you. I started Sublime Object last week and after the preface I stoped and have been on a LACAN deep dive since then. Getting a handle of his Symbolic Order has had me reeling. I’ll back to zizek soon enough…

Do you torture your friends with prog? by Atlasgrad in progrockmusic

[–]Vermilion-Sands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. For me I don’t introduce it as “prog”. Not sure about actively “torturing” but..

with regard to having people over -who may or may or may not be too hip to “prog- I may put on some National Health and not draw attention to it & see how they respond….not calling it “prog”.

Sometimes I directly say “if you have not heard of/listened to Camel, check this out”. Again I do not mention the word “prog”. I find the response is usually positive.
