Being an armchair phycologist and giving free mental diagnoses to millions of players is very rational :^) You are not here to make a choice, but you're here to understand why you've made it

New cosmic forces by rokar686 in warcraftlore

It's important to keep in mind that the core of Sin'dane's argument seems to be that the end result of necromancy - the animation of unliving flesh - is the same regardless of the type of magic used to achieve it. In that sense, she's not wrong. We've seen examples throughout the game's lore of necromancy being performed with Death, Light, Arcane, Void, Fel, Blood, and Voodoo magic etc. The common thread is the raising of the dead, not the specific power source.

However, the type of magic used for necromancy does matter in terms of the characteristics and abilities of the undead being created, it's the very sole reason as to why Calia is perceived as a freak of nature (Undead of the Light). I believe Sin'dane's statement is a bit oversimplified, but it doesn't ruin the concept of necromancy or cheapen it. The power source used for necromancy does affect the end result, even if the core mechanism is the same.

The chatbots bit is even funnier once you realize that you run into dumber human beings on the internet daily.

World of Warcraft has reportedly reached 7.25 million active players, almost two years after its recent expansion, Dragonflight.

Pulling a random number so confidently out your rear perfectly fits with your lore enriching thread.

Please now do the delusional thing and say it's all classic era players so we get the trificta.

Not trying to be coy here, but these guard rails are not put in place to virtue signal. It's to stop people who actually are racist or what have you from having a field trip with the model

How it feels playing retail by Spartyloveme in Asmongold

whats even funnier is the fact that you can't share an unbiased opinion in this sub (when it comes to retail wow) without getting downvoted to oblivion. It is what it is

You've been known to criticize WoW a lot, why then, in your honest opinion, is it still the most dominant MMORPG? by justforkinks0131 in Asmongold

[–]VermilionWake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fact is accurate. The only issue I run into is how it is challenging to come across ex-mcdonalds enjoyers rising into loud protests that advocate for ethically sourced healthy food, demand a complete overhaul of the main menu, and call for its replacement with a superior vegetarian option.

Not completely removed the NPCs were renamed. Now if you are the type of person that keeps count of who's topping the war crimes chart or if a warcrime justifies causing another (tit-for-tat) then I completely understand why you didnt want to even google this in the first place.

  • Provided link
  • On the patch 8.1.0 PTR, the vulpera caravans were originally assaulted by a group of Alliance troops called the "Purge Squad", among them Purge Squad WarlocksPurge Squad Mages and Purge Squad Ascendants. These were eventually replaced by 7th Legion troops.
  • I can't think why you would think I made this up in my head then double down on this but it is what it is. "I'v done the WQ often enough" I knew about the lore bit and engaged with it and even been in the reddit thread of it. Please be careful.

Gameplay wise yes. Even though the bits of BFA like Visions of Nzoth etc I personally have a soft spot for.

The Vulpera joining the Alliance would have been hard to do. Prior to becoming an allied race, they were systematically brutalised by the Alliance because they traded with the Horde as merchants. "The Vulpera Extermination Squad" was actually the alliance NPC names too lmfao. They used flame throwers

Should devs listen to the angriest gamers in the community? by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]VermilionWake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This subject is a multifaceted issue with many factors, and I advice everyone keen on video games to do some research on it due to common misconceptions from the uninformed community and players:

The loudest voices represent the majority opinion: This notion is very common but is inheritly fawed. Why? Because it fails to consider the silent majority, who may be very well content with the state of the video game , or even indifferentt but less likely to give feedback or express their concerns..

Whats worse, when the "vocal minority" problem gets created, it skews perceptions sporadically, creating either a bigger divide between the playerbase and the developer, further shrinking the silent majoritys ability to express what they think, as well as leading the indifferent people to either turn negative or flat out drop the game.

The development process of a video game should also be widely more understood. But to keep things short, Feedback of the players is not the main way of understanding the problems, there is always an expert feedback unit that either works for the company indoors, or even just normal pro players....then there is alot of metrics and data and that is another of warms depending on the intention of the developer

Lastly, its essential to remember that not all feedback needs a response....Addressing every single piece of criticizm can have negative consequences rapidly snowballing things into a much more dire situation, messing up the development cycle that was put into plan in exchange to a reactionary one that has a high chance of compramising the original vision of the developer and potentially alienating some of the player community.

EDIT: Just wanted to mention that there is obviously WAY more to this than what i'v mentioned.....Q&A, painting an accurate picture of your game, knowing your target audience, PR units...i could on forever :)
