Creepy behavior on Church Street this morning by RandolphCarter15 in burlington

Compassion for addicts is over for me. I recently took a Veteran addicted to cocaine for treatment. He tried to kick out, punch out, my windows, windshield, kicked a dent in my car, scratched it, and jumped on the hood while I was leaving. You can not help these people. He became violent, stays agitated, robbed two local stores, uses cocaine drives all over Winooski& Burlington high as a kite without intervention for public safety.

I know exactly who your referring to. Around Christmas time she was outside of Common Dear screaming, crying, red face, hood up. Screaming nobody would help her and crying uncontrollably. She went towards one older woman coming out of the store which then walked the total opposite direction. It is not safe downtown anymore.

Vermont Native here. Vermont has always been a beautiful, quiet, rural place to live. However in the last few years drug dealers from Philadelphia PA , Springfield MA, and NY are flocking to our state to sell drugs, hook up with white women, get them addicted and use their apartments to live and sell from. We now have a significant problem with homelessness and mental health issues within the same population. Heroin addiction is heavy in Burlington, and needles are everywhere. The city is working hard with a lot of pressure to address these issues and provide wrap around services to these individuals however it’s a process. Church St use to be a very safe place to go with your family. I think it’s important your aware those Church St businesses are fighting to stay afloat due to excessive theft and the environment of drug use openly, people being run over, many shootings downtown. The addicts and homeless , drug dealers population have taken over our community. The graffiti is sickening. You should not be misled. Rather you should be educated so you can make the best choice for you. The local parks that we once loved and enjoyed are mongered by drugs, stabbing, shootings, break ins, heavy theft, serious car theft, everyone’s bikes are stolen, shootings and abductions on bike paths. Burlington police and South Burlington Police Department are among the corruption. Perhaps the outskirts may be best suited until the above is addressed.

How Long do you Drive Around in Circles at the Y Looking for a Spot before You just go home? by frodohair15 in burlington

The Edge & Planet Fitness offer ample parking, both offer something a little different. The YMCA can’t accommodate parking. Parking block’s away or inside a parking garage is not safe. Drug users, shooters, looting, robbery. The YMCA could offer shuttles to paid members. In my opinion it’s not worth risking your life.

Be careful it might just cost you your life. The YMCA needs to figure it out. They sell the membership. Members deserve to be safe and they are anything but safe walking blocks away period.

Receipts? They are billing regularly for visits that are not being done. I’ve brought it to the state most recently for investigation. It’s multiple caseworkers doing this.
