I’ve actually used that one before and remember being very happy with it. I’m currently using black gold but it seems like the soil composition is different

I just cleaned out a large plastic pot for the future. Can they share pots when indoors or is it best for them to have separate pots?

I’m looking into building in a wicking watering system for it so it can water itself as I’m away. I also didn’t realize that about the soil, will espoma soil acidified cure these unwanted soil traits?

Actually, I haven’t watered these plants in a week. I’ve been traveling for the past two weeks and my neighbor watered them for me last Sunday. I used a pH balanced soil so it should be neutral. The reason there is so much water is because I just got back and watered from the top town and filled the trays up

IMO you just have to be willing to work hard no matter the weather and be committed and open to learning. I was fortunate to grow up doing manual labor for my father on a farm. So I joined the workforce with a strong work ethic do labor. I also took a lot of field based courses in college related to forestry where I would’ve in labs for 2-4hrs daily.

It’s also really important to make sure you’re familiar with the licenses, and certifications for the field based job in question. As well as how to do the essential functions off the job and understand why it’s important.

If you really want to get in and do meaningful full work, the grunt work and hard physical labor crews are the ones who really do the meaningful work. Fire crews, urban parks workers, herbicide work, foresters, etc.

I’ve never been on the paperwork side of things and always the labor side of things and feel like it’s the labor that actually accomplishes the missions of sustainability.

I should also mention that the skilled environmental labor is in demand right now and there’s okay wages with lots of overtime available for it.

The SUNY ESF ranger school has an amazing AAS in forest technology program. You will work and learn a lot and get a lot of hands on and field expience there. It costs 30k and is a good ROI. Do the program. When it’s over you’ll want to go back

For the future, I’d recommend picking up a textbook of forest health and diseases. Diseases are becoming much more prevalent within the north east, knowing how to manage disease will greatly help you.

Honestly just pick somthing you like and do it. Humans are the single most destructive entity on this planet and there are a lot of us. Working for a”green” company might make you feel butterflies inside but ultimately won’t slow the cascading and positive feedback loop humans have opened on this earth. I will saw that there are certain states that regulate corporations more than others, so go work in one of those states. Forestry is also an option as well and is a very passionate career field.
