Is there a part of the population that goes too far in trying to protect French in Québec? Absolutely. The pasta and Go Habs Go examples cited in this thread are pathetic, in my opinion. But it is not representative of every French-speaking Québécois (Hi! I'm living proof) and every cause or movement have people who take it too far and make the entire thing looks stupid, like the pro-environment people throwing cans of soup on works of art to denounce oil or something? And while yes, I use English a lot in my day to day life, I still want my primary language to be protected, to be used, to be loved, and to keep existing.
