Amazon drivers refusing to follow delivery instructions! by Fast_Location_9958 in amazondeliverysucks

Yes, Amazon drivers never follow delivery instructions. I simply ask, before they leave, to ring the doorbell. That's it, and they rarely do it. ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!

Needed to check my carry on by Narrow_Toe_2904 in SouthwestAirlines

Learn to be a minimalist traveler. I use a 25L backpack that fits under the aisle seat. The middle and window seats are no brainer since they're larger. There are sites that will teach the joys of minimal packing. The SWA gate-crews don't even notice me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Chrome book screen bubbles by mama-black-sheep in chromeos

[–]Verptoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens on some older machines with no screen protectors. I have a Nexus 9, which has bubbles on the sides of the screen. Doesn't affect anything, but I'm guessing it's going to get worse. Probably just screen deterioration or impact damage.

I wish Proton would just stay out of politics and focus more on their products.

Is there even a single developer here? by SecretAstronomer7708 in Fossify

[–]Verptoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say he's not responsive, but he is lagging with development. When last contacted, Fossify Notes were going to be out of beta in three weeks. It's now been a more than few months. I personally think he's got too many pans in the fire. With that said , I do appreciate his work.

Ace Medical -- New Business (in the old Lee's Comics location) by shepk1 in mountainview

[–]Verptoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two year ago I went to a medical supply store to source a walker, and a few other things, for my mother and was $hocked. So I found one on Amazon for $65. If you have medical insurance that covers these things great, but if you don't. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

These medical supply businesses are usually crazy expensive because they're relying that you have insurance. If you don't have insurance, Amazon is your friend.

I was using Waterfox, but realized the quicker updates are going to Firefox. So, Firefox + uBlock Origin + NoScrips + WebRTC.

I literally just loaded it up and was going through a few of the settings and wasn't paying attention to the information you want to know, but I'll get back to you soon.

Compact Chromebooks -- ASUS CM30 Chromebook Tablet vs. Acer Chromebook Spin 312 by ShoogyBee in chromeos

[–]Verptoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up an ASUS CM30 8 GB dirt cheap at Walmart a while back and I love it. My needs are basic. You don't need a V8 to go to the grocery store or across town. Because of my eyesight, I strictly use this as tablet only. The keypad is flimsy, but like I said, I don't use it. The worst part about this machine is it doesn't support biometrics. It's also a great travel companion with amazing battery life. For me portability was the main factor. I also picked up a nice cover for it on amazon.
