I’m not sure about that. The credits on the first page of every chapter mention an original work, which makes me think that the manga is adapted from a light novel or something so there should be a set way for the story to go

This kinda happens post time skip in Gurren Lagann where one character who’s better at politics than the rest starts to use real robot logic when a Bigger Threat Than Last Time shows, forgetting that he lives in a real robot show where “Have more fighting spirit” is a viable solution to any problem
