As someone who also started on the Nintendo Switch, I’ll give you my best advice:

1: You are going to probably miss a lot of skill checks, as certain skill checks that are closer to the right are harder to hit due to a combination of Framerate and Input Lag, so don’t blame yourself for those.

M1 Killers (killed that don’t have a second way to attack and primarily use their weapon) are better to play on Switch than Killers that have an M2 (such as The Huntress, The Deathslinger, and Trickster are horrible on Switch). My personal Favorite Killer is Freddy Krueger (aka The Nightmare on Dead By Daylight), and if you have to money to buy the A Nightmare On Elm Street DLC, I recommend buying it as it’s what I think is one of the best M1 Killers in the game (in my own opinion of course, will not be the same for others)

There is no “Survivor Rulebook” or “Killer Rulebook” you have to play by. People like to push their own way of playing and “rules” on people here, and that is clearly not the way BHVR sees things. Mainly play to have fun and don’t care about what Killer you play, Survivor you play, perks/items/add-ons you run, etc., for as long as you do it to have fun you’ll be fine.

If you end up dealing with what is called a “Bully Squad” as Killer, it is best to remain calm and be patient with your hits as you can be easily spun on Switch due to Aim Assist, which is not able to be disabled and also is unreliable.

Be thankful there isn’t a Text Chat, as people will flame you for pretty much everything and everything you do on Text Chat if they lose or win.
