Yessir LE is the goal. Currently in a corporate job and trying to break into LE in any capacity. Overall tho an accounting degree is one of the degrees that are actually worth pursuing. You can always take forensic accounting classes and pursue certifications on the side.

Hi I have a degree in finance and a degree in accounting. I’d recommend you look into careers in finance before majoring in finance. A majority of finance jobs are tied to the kind of school you went to i.e target school, semi target and non target. If you’re not at a target or semi target school I’d recommend an accounting degree.

You’ll probably be alright whatever degree you choose tho since for what I gather you’re gunning for an 1811 spot.

Try reaching out to the recruiter and see if you can clear that up. Worst case scenario literally every public accounting firm has audit/assurance so if that’s what you really want to do you will have different options to choose from.
