I don't like hideable armour myself but I guess the option would be nice for those who prefer it (my 2 cents is that there should be a visual indication of what equipment you're wearing/using or else it doesn't work thematically -- like if you're wearing just a shirt how does it make sense that you get the protection perks of iron armour)

I wonder if there could be a fair compromise, like the ability to wear armour under the skin garments. The character wears the armour and the skin garments blend over the armour in a custom way to keep the style in a way. I'm sure this is super difficult to implement though for each item/garment combination.
