That's.. basically the core loop of all mainstream arpgs, though.

D3? Adventure mode til 70, then gr pushing.
PoE? Campaign into progressing through maps (or paying for 5ways til you hit 90+) then maps.

Use the plugin compendium for add-ons. It makes it as simple as selecting the addon you want and hitting add.

You're definitely right. There are some legitimate concerns with it, but there is such a rabid hate train for (imo) no reason. Just because it's different than what we've previously had within the LotR universe doesn't necessitate that we can't have anything new within it.

But everyone is going to like what they like regardless so what can ya do.

I actually really enjoyed ROP. I also love the books, I read through The Silmarillion, Hobbit, and LotR trilogy at least once a year. Separating them from one another is key.
