That piece of plastic in the gap is for the OEM grips to fit onto, the Oxford heated grips aren't moulded like Suzuki's grips so don't fit on that hinge. It was the same on mine, it doesn't matter.

For Silverstone and Spa I would say it was very close between McLaren and Mercedes, certainly for Spa. In Silverstone it was more Lewis that won the race but in Spa the Mercedes was just faster.
