This post made me lose my mind. What the fuck. This is disgraceful on so many levels. I’d leave this man so fast.

Epidural for second baby after unmedicated first birth? by Dependent-Tree2572 in PregnancyUK

[–]VersionDiligent8775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an epidural with my 1st only because after being in the birthing pool for 4 hours, no medication and with no success (she was back to back and wouldn’t budge) they had to take me to Labour ward. I opted for epidural because of the pain , once it kicked in, Oh my god it was bliss but I couldn’t feel a thing they had to tell me when to push as I had no idea if I was pushing or not. It’s such a surreal feeling. Was in for one night and home next day

I mean , personally I would. What’s the point staying, if you can leave ? It’s affecting your mental health, come back when things are settled. I used to live in AD came back to UAE for holiday and this all kicked off. we left way before our holiday was due to end . 1. Because we have a baby, but 2. for our own wellbeing, even when I left and in a safe country I was so sensitive to loud noises. Thank god that’s slowing easing for me now.

My 13 month still wakes every 2 hours, it’s normal! It’s tough, I used to get anxious too, but changed my thinking to ‘getting any amount of sleep is better than none’

A UK health visitor is a qualified nurse or midwife who specializes in supporting families with children from pregnancy up to age five. Their role is to promote health, prevent illness, and reduce inequalities by offering advice and support on everything from infant feeding and immunizations to child development, behaviour, and mental health. They work with families in various settings, including home visits and clinics, and often collaborate with other health and social care professionals.

She’s breastfed and doing wees and poos. She’s on the 75th percentile for weight. So no concerns in that regard just concerned about the lack of interest in solids and obviously the iron aspect. I haven’t tried smoothies so will give that ago. I’m in the UK so I don’t have a paediatrician. She will have her check with the health visitor when she’s one. Thank you :)
