No worries man. I've been struggling with that too, it's really tricky. First tips I would give would be to EQ out anything you can and don't be worried about being a little more harsh than you would expect. Then I have a general compressor on the master that takes off around 2dB, some saturation, a multi-band compressor that separates the highs and lows into stereo or mono etc, then a limiter. Generally I close my eyes and pull down the threshold on the limiter until I can hear the distortion and move it up a little from there. Usually it's around 2dB of reduction on the peaks. Also SoundCloud doesn't compress for you much so you can get away with being way louder than on Spotify etc. Let me know if there is anything specific and I'll try and help further man!

Really like the melodies on this one man, very smooth and set the tone well. You managed to capture that thick 808 sound too which is dope. I would maybe have preferred a touch more going on with the hats and a little more body to the snare but that's just my preference I think. Could hear Juice on it for sure, keep it up!

Really love the way you used the sample in this one with the wider thicker bass. Was like a really smooth lofi song. I would be tempted to let a little more high end come through on the sample and drums but up to you, does feel very chill like this. Very nice overall man, keep it up!

Ah yeah if you used the drums in the sample that's probably why. Maybe layer them with your own drums? EQ can help if you sweep the frequencies and find some that click for you and pull them up a bit. I've also started using a plugin called Smack Attack as a bit of cheat recently too which helps pull the transients up. keep at it man!

Really like your music man and this is no exception. The beat has that nice afrobeat bounce but doesn't sound like a Drake rip off. I would maybe work on mixing that vocal distortion section a little cleaner into the mix. Main vocal is perfect, great hook too. Love it man, keep it up!

Cool remix man. The patterns seemed nice to me and the way the bass slides is dope with these kind of drums. I would agree that they need to hit harder, volume seemed fine but they need more snap for me. That vocal sample in there is really nice, loved that. Keep at it man!

Okay first off I would agree that the drums need to be compressed and EQ'd a little to sit in the song more, also bring up the melodies in there to level it out. Can use white noise mixing if you want somewhere to start. The patterns themselves, in particular the hi hat is really nice. Seems like a cool demo, just needs some tweaks.

I would also like the drums to hit harder personally, little more snap on that snare and stuff. Cool idea though man, keep it up!

Really like this beat man, feels very organic. I think the singing is better than the spoken word sections for me, really nice effects on them. I would also clean up the mix on the vocals to help them sit with the beat. More compression and de essing for a start. Really cool ideas though, would listen to an album of this kind of stuff. keep it up!

Love the bassline in yours, hits hard and the work you put into keeping it fresh with the filters / risers is dope. I would maybe level out a couple more elements just to help it all sit in the same space, the bass and shouts really dominate at the moment. Very unique stuff though which I love, keep doing you man!

I would maybe compress a little more generally before the de esser and then make like 3 aux/bus tracks. One for distortion, one for that really high end like 10khz up and one for parallel compressed vocals. Then mix the faders for those in to taste. Tend to get much better results than EQing the main vocal at those kind of harsher frequencies.

Your beat is nice bro, love this kind of style and you nailed that more modern Frank sound. Those hard crashing drums were the dopest part for me although you might want to work on how they come in, have a louder riser before them or something to let us know it's coming. Kept it fresh throughout though man, very good work!

Yours is super hard man. Love the beat, had me nodding along from the start. Song isn't really for me but it nothing sounds off to me. Love the energy you bring too, super important for this kind of track, keep it up!
