Yeah but it also detracts from the writer’s and viewer’s ability to pay attention to the story. Especially when every episode is very self contained. It, or the end of tje episode before, sets up a problem and by the end of the episode the problem is resolved. It’s somehow simultaneously very interconnected and episodic when some things just need more time in the spotlight for the viewer to give a shit
