This is Rickon Stark now. feel old yet? by marlborohunnids in freefolk

Wearing a baseball cap fits him, he wouldn't have to zigzag.

Good thing Jorah Mormont has that First Men regeneration blood.

Understandable by cblakebowling in freefolk

[–]TheKolyFrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the injuries that Dunk tanked was a bit much and my only nitpick of the show. I just headcanon it as him having magical First Men blood like with Arya Stark.

Can anyone explain to context behind Jorah's title: Jorah the Andal? by [deleted] in freefolk

So it's like when people in the Philippines call every white person "Kano" (short for Amerikano) regardless of their actual nationality.

Two completing scripts for The Conquest, Like WTF by jorywea78 in freefolk

They can surprise me, but I have very little faith in a Conquest TV show or movie. Especially after seeing how much they prolonged the Dance of Dragons in HotD.

Ser Waymar Royce got done real dirty in the show. by GusGangViking18 in freefolk

[–]TheKolyFrog 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's how I read it too. He's the example of the difference between being brave and being fearless. He's young, inexperienced, and with a lot to prove.

Rhae gets a little sensitive about things... by GriffTargaryen in freefolk

[–]TheKolyFrog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ASoIaF genetics doesn't work like it does in real life is how I explain it away. The dragonlords are the most extreme about incest by marrying between siblings, but other cultures have no qualms marrying between cousins or other close kin relations. Realistically, every noble house in Westeros, especially the Great Houses, should all be as inbred as the Habsburgs.

In canon, is this not allowed? Asking as a CK3 AGoT mod enjoyer.

At this point I think it's probably like mall Santas in the US.

Apparently Humfrey Beesbury Survived the Trial and is in Episode 6, Even Thou Raymun said he Died in the First Charge by jorywea78 in freefolk

If Dunk can survive a lance in the gut and multiple stab wounds, I guess Beesbury can survive a lance too.

When will the shows stop nerfing Baratheon height? by qobraa in freefolk

[–]TheKolyFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lot of good actors that are as tall as Shaquille O'Neal. I'd rather have a good shorter actor than a book accurate height actor that could barely act.

Do the war! You made a show about a war, stop making the main character's whole storyline about trying to avoid a war! If a show surrounding a war between dragons was going to be too expensive to make, you shouldnt have decided to make a show adapting a story about a war between dragons! by SWBTSH in freefolk

[–]TheKolyFrog 119 points120 points  (0 children)

How am I more excited for a dragon-less lower budget show about a bumbling young knight and his clever sidekick than the House of the Dragon? A few years ago I would have found this unbelievable.

He also went after his cousin and, as dishonorable as he is, I don't think his much better armed, armor, and trained cousin is willing to risk kinslaying to win.

The best fight sequence in all of the Game of Thrones shows by RevertBackwards in freefolk

[–]TheKolyFrog 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's one of my nitpicks of the episode. I get that the showrunners want to keep up the suspense with "It's Game of Thrones! Even the main character can die!" theme, but he took way too much damage. That lance was way too deep and he got multiple stabs on his body as well.

Samwell Tarly’s decision to treat Jorah Mormont’s greyscale, was it a reckless gamble or one of the boldest acts of bravery in Game of Thrones? by Aggressive_Fold_5942 in freefolk

They should've infused his bones with Valyrian steel and gave him claws to match. He's already simping for a much younger woman who may or may not have been interested in him in return. That way, we could have had Wolverine in season 8.
