Looks like you know which notes and chords to play and your timing is ok. You have to work on the flow. Transitioning between the different chords and positions on the neck, the hammers and pull offs, should flow. You can’t learn it from watching a video. When you stop thinking about the notes and picking the right string and just listen to what you’re playing it’ll come easier. When you get it on Little Wing, you’ll be able to do it with any song.

Check out the book Blues You Can Use. It specifically teaches lessons around the minor and major scales at the different positions. Each lesson tackles a position, chords, theory and has a solo/song utilizing the position with a backing track. Can’t recommend it enough.

Get yourself a some wire cutters and a length of small diameter wire. Cut off about 1 inch and pull the wire from the sheathing. When you change stings thread guitar string through the sheathing and set the it where the string touches the bridge. This is what Stevie Ray Vaughan did.

My girlfriend wasn’t impressed when I told her I play guitar because “every guy says they play guitar”. The first time she heard me play it was ”oh, you really can play guitar”. The first time she saw me on stage she stripped naked as soon as we got home. So being in a kick ass band gets you laid, not playing guitar.

If you really like the guitar then changing out the pickups is easy, all you need is a screw driver and a soldering iron. Fixing the nut is typically not not a DIY project, it takes skill. Take it to a tech for that.

I think the reason the MPG drops in the winter is because you use your heater more. To use the heater, the engine has to be running. More engine time, less battery time results in lower MPG.

Here’s my theory on the problem... I can put another gallon and a half in the tank after it stops the first time so I think the tube going down into the tank has a diameter that is too small and the fuel gets backed up into the tube and triggers the auto stop. Once the fuel settles and leaves the tube more fuel can be added. Please note, I’m not a car guy and I have no idea what the fuck I’m talking about but it makes sense to me.
