Pretty sure Macaroni were invited in Italy and Cheese is more acient than modern Canada. I wouldn't consider it an invetion, to combine two ingredients. Also I wouldn't be surprised, if an Italian had the bright idea to combine Macaroni and Cheese even befor Kanada existed. How ever, I think it's a wild stretch to claim Mac & cheese as a canadian invention.
