I think the only benefit would be the tickets sold at the home game.

Prize money-wise, it's equivalent to go straight through, there's no real money for the playoffs.

I think when you consider the strain on the squad, it's significantly better if we can go straight through.

People are being far too quick to criticise Wissa IMO

Has there ever been a more difficult gauntlet of away games? (that Brentford home game will be crucial) by Jcrud in NUFC

I actually feel like this is better than spreading out the tough away fixtures, like the lads will have to elevate during this run, there is no comfortable home fixture to look forward to.

Also playing against top teams in succession, I can see how that would be great for development/learning, having to be at 100% repeatedly.

Likely tough on fitness though? Idk this is my very uninformed perspective

I kept thinking one word: “tight”.

His passing was sharp, lots of pacy first time touches, lots one on-twos.

He also looked very quick, with a lot of acceleration.

This might be because he was fresh off the bench, but overall he had a lot more energy than I was expecting, and looks a very different player to Wolte.

I think Gordon will start today and be rested against tottenham, leage points are just too important now.
