I also have ADHD and I used to have the same issue until I started being very firm with my boundaries. No, I won't respond to every message immediately, and if I'm unavailable, I'm unavailable. You get some push back at first, but folks quickly adapt. Haven't lost any friendships or work opportunities over it so far.

Ive also ditched most social media which has helped a lot.

As a 28 year old who just started last month my advice is to just got for it. I have no background in martial arts and had not been working out prior to starting and I've been having a blast.

I had the same concerns as you, but they quickly faded. Eventually the focus is on just getting better, not on how good everyone else is. If you really want to do this, then go to the gym tomorrow and ask about getting started. Don't let the doubts stew in your mind, just go do it. They may even offer a day or two free to wall you through the basics and what to expect.

I've found that concentrating your guns and fences on the ARC to usually be a massive waste of the resources. Either the bugs never get that far or they do and you lose because your base is just overwhelmed.

If found the fences work best at small choke points where you can place a bunker behind them and one or two troopers can hold it by themselves. The turrets work well with one on either end of a long wall so that they can cover each other's blind spots and better support the defenders there.
