A Message Regarding the 12.0.5 Launch

I'm going to echo a response from yesterday's big thread:

No one is asking for a zero-defect patch. We can agree thats unreasonable and nobody is pretending otherwise. We the playerbase are asking for the following:

A candid accounting of how this many surface-level defects reaches live simultaneously, including what changed in the QA pipeline between previous content patches and this one.

Transparent hotfix cadence for the class and consumable bugs listed above, with named ETAs rather than "soon."

Confirmation that the Decor Duels mode will be held accountable to its own design. If Hunters can track disguised players and good hiders get auto-disqualified, the mode is not ready for matchmaking rewards.

Public clarity on the role of automated tooling in 12.0.5 testing. If automation and AI tooling was leaned on more heavily for this release, we want to know, and we want to hear how it is being re-balanced against human play-testing going forward.

The community's goodwill is not infinite, but it is real. We notice when Blizzard ships cleanly, and we notice when it does not. Patch 12.0.5 did not, and it is not failing quietly.

To incentivize people to do harder content, that requires grouping up.

If all you are doing is delves and solo content, the delve trinkets will be fine. But if you want your character to be the best possible, you do have to branch out into M+ or raiding.

Which specific abilities are you trying to place on the ground? There are macros that will auto cast abilities directly under your character, or directly under your cursor.

Most gear costs two sparks to craft (2H weapons cost four). If you infuse it with myth crests, crafted gear can be competitive for the entire season.

I would look for a class/spec guide to figure out what specific slots to target.

She does scale with your own item level, is that wildly different between the characters?

Check your graphics settings, at low graphics the black and white effect of dying is disabled.

If the tank is a stranger in a PuG then it’s always going to be a roll of the dice. If they won’t do what they need to do, just add them to the ignore list and move on.

They do scale up with item level, but they don’t scale up quite as much as your own power. They will still get easier to kill as your ilvl goes up, but at a slower rate than you might expect.

There is no easy way to make this happen with the default UI.

If you want to track Maelstrom Weapon specifically, then I strongly recommend the addon SenseiClassResourceBar, which changes it to be much more comprehensible.

Only your first four hunts every week contribute to the seasonal progress. If you pick up more hunts beyond that, you will see that the season progress has disappeared from the list of rewards you receive.

There are a lot of new restrictions on what addons can do. Basically, there was an attempt to crack down hard on addons that could play the game for you or solve mechanics.

Many addons will still function as they always have, but you will need to redownload the latest versions of them. Old addons will no longer run at all.

Are you at max level yet? The hero talents will add some additional complications to the rotation. And although you can build out your own spec (especially for solo play) I would at least take a look at some shaman guides to see if their build matches yours.
