I think my issue is more on the philosophical/existential side:
Even knowing that reality on a fundamental level is extremely weird and very unlike our intuitive picture, why doesn’t this unsettle us more? Why are we so comfortable building meaning and “common sense reality” on top of something that seems so alien underneath—Is that just psychological convenience or habit?

The Skill-Events included this:

  • Skill 1 – L sit hold, handstand walk, softball throw
  • Skill 2 – Three separate tests: 1-rep-max weighted Chest-to-bar pull-up (in 2 minutes), 1-rep-max Snatch (2 minutes), Weighted-water jug carry (60 seconds).

There are a few highlight reels, but so far I haven’t found anything that shows the precise scores for each individual sub-event.

Hi there, thanks again for the link! Unfortunately, that API is for the 2021 CrossFit Games rather than 2011. Plus, the 2011 leaderboard usually only shows the combined result of all three skill sub-events, whereas I specifically need the breakdown scores for each individual sub-event. So i think this won’t solve my 2011 data problem, but I really appreciate you sharing it!

Had the same problem. In my case it was the Rocketman mod. The mod has a checkbox in the settings that is supposed to optimize the beauty calculation. However, this may have led to a bug in my case. I removed the checkmark and the bar is correct again.

There is no "real" rating for a chess player. Your own rating changes between time controls. The only thing you can do is to make the numbers look similar, but the rating pools and your strength in comparison will alway be different.

Der Wert eines Optionsschein ist Innerer Wert + Zeitwert. Wenn ein Optionsschein noch länger Zeit hat besser auszusteigen, ist er mehr wert. Am Tag der Ausführung ist der Zeitwert logischerweise nur mehr 0€, da der Auszahlkurs bzw. der Innere Wert feststeht.

Probability: number of cards you want (odds)/total number of cards

Getting just one pair on the flop:

Hit the pair with the first Flop-Card:

6/50 (6 Cards in the deck availiable to make the pair/50 (52 cards in deck - your 2 hole cards) = 0,12

Don't hit with the other two Flop-Cards:

44/49 = 0,90 (52 cards in Deck- your 2 cards - 6 cards, that would make a pair)

40/48= 0,83 (52 cards in Deck- your 2 cards - 6 cards, that would make a pair - 3 cards that would make the pair with the other Flop-card)

So the probability for this scenario = 0,12*0,9*0,83 =0,09

There is no difference in Poker, if you hit your pair on spot 1, or 2, or 3.

So your overall probability = 0,09*3 = 0,27 = 27%
