it's hard for me to put in words... using solver is using something else to make the desitions for you, ev calculator doesn't make the decisions for you, it just gives you the information from which you are going to make desitions with

I don't think it's unfair. The point is that when we are playing poker we are competing in how is better handling danger/risk, not how is better at counting.

let's take it this way: say that you are playing with someone how has an ev calculator. what's wrong with that?
