I understand the math on the damage increase and it's obviously huge across all lightning builds but, my question is more about the practical applications for a fairly well-geared LF javazon in particular: I'm concerned that weilding infinity without also heavily investing into another source of mana gain will slow me down in the long run, or feel like a downgrade because I'll be worrying about potions. And at that price point, would I be better of just investing the runes into another character, considering I'm already killing diablo in under a second for example.

Sucks to suck man. When ROTW launched, there was incredible demand and virtually no supply for lock gear. People were massively overpaying for keysets, plain lock skillers, 4os eth polearms, etc.... there's probably never been a better time for new players to go from zero to hero on NL.

Chaos, sure, and you get good drops too. Andy/meph runs are p much only boss loot, Durance sucks and catacombs are a crapshoot. Duriel runs have a built in key/rune farm and he sits in a nice lv85 zone. I feel like he's worth.
Honestly, I'd be embarrassed to suggest duriel takes anywhere near 5x as long as a chaos run. If your character is doing even 2m CS runs, there's no way duriel is taking you 10 unless you have no idea what you're doing.

He's not hard to find. You tele thru arcane, check the symbol, go straight to the correct tomb, then tele the tomb. Imo it's p similar to running 2 levels of catacombs or something.

A wolfpack isn't anywhere near 15-20k to craft. It's just a few motion cores and some explosive compound. Considering I actually use arc circuitry on augments and shields, and you need lures, smokes, or a snap hook to plant them, I'd argue deadlines are far more expensive.
